Jason Isringhausen sets a new Mets record

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the 11-year, 254-day span between Mets appearances by Jason Isringhausen is the longest in team history.

Bob Miller held the old mark, going 10 years and 362 days between pitching in 1962 and 1973.
