Game 3 of the NLDS between the Cardinals and Cubs is scheduled to start at 6:07 p.m. on TBS, with Game 3 of the NLDS between the Dodgers and Mets scheduled for 8:37 p.m. on TBS.

Hmm.

Major League Baseball has made modest strides this season in shortening the average length of its games, but it is highly unlikely the Cubs and Cardinals will be through in time for the start of the Mets game.

Fear not, fans.

If the earlier NL game is not concluded in time for the first pitch at Citi Field, the later game will be shown on TNT from the beginning, then switch to TBS at the conclusion of Cardinals-Cubs.
