The Mets outrighted five players off the 40-man roster on Wednesday. The group includes outfielders Wuilmer Becerra and Travis Taijeron, infielder Phil Evans and righthanders Tyler Pill and Erik Goeddel. All five players are free agents after clearing waivers.

Becerra was part of the R.A. Dickey trade in 2012 and was a highly regarded prospect before his stock fell. Pill, Taijeron and Evans each made their big-league debuts this season, while Goeddel’s career has been hampered by arm issues.
