Sandy Alderson reiterated Monday that he still expects to have a 2012 payroll in the $100 million-$110 million range, but does not want it all to be spent before Opening Day. If so, the bulk of that money already is slotted for nine players:

Johan Santana $24M
Jason Bay $18.13M
David Wright $15.25M
Mike Pelfrey $5.5M*
Angel Pagan $4.8M*
R.A. Dickey $4.75M
Ronny Paulino $2M*
D.J. Carrasco $1.2M
Tim Byrdak $1M

Total $76.63M
