The Mets are now 0-6 in rubber games this season after Wednesday's 6-4 loss to Washington. They're also 0-2 against the Nationals in the deciding games.

Aside from Tuesday's dramatic six-run eighth inning against the Nats, the Mets have had trouble breaking games open...Each of their last nine games have been decided by two runs or less -- the longest such streak since a team-record 12 consecutive games were decided by two or fewer runs from April 9-27, 2002 (courtesy of the Elias Sports Bureau).
