A little light, considering the Mets were off yesterday. But we've got 'em anyway:

-- Dave Lennon reminds us all that the 2010 Mets, like the 2009 Mets, still have significant injury problems. Unlike the 2009 Mets, though, this year's club is playing through the injuries, thanks to rookies like Ike Davis and Ruben Tejada, first-year Mets R.A. Dickey and Hisanori Takahashi and the maturation of Angel Pagan.

-- Having said that, the Mets who slapped on bowling shoes for Johan Santana's benefit in Manhattan sounded as if adding a starter would be a good thing. Tony Olivero has the details.

We'll have more on tonight's interleague series opener with the Tigers at Citi Field. It's an intriguing pitching matchup, with Detroit's Justin Verlander opposing Jon Niese, whose last home start was something pretty special.
