If you're heading to Citi Field Friday night to see the Mets mount their comeback attempt in the 111th Fall Classic, dress warmly.

And if you want to watch batting practice, get there early. Gates open 21/2 hours before game time.

Losers of the first two games, the Mets take on the Kansas City Royals in Game 3 of the World Series. First pitch is scheduled for 8:07 p.m.

News 12 Long Island meteorologist Rich Hoffman said temperatures for tailgaters will be near 60 degrees with sunshine through sunset.

After that, you might want to consider mittens and some long underwear.

"Low 50s for the first pitch under clear skies," Hoffman said, "and in the 40s by the end of the game."

There are some rules for tailgaters: No alcohol is permitted, and open-flame grilling devices also are prohibited. One parking spot per vehicle, too.

The Mets have most of their rules for watching and utilizing Citi Field at http://atmlb.com/1DW3TJB.

There's a code of conduct, if you aren't familiar with protocol. Plus there are 15 restrooms at the ballpark.

And, if you're taking a little one, diaper-changing tables are located in all concourse restrooms.
