The forecast for Cooperstown on Sunday is lovely, but for Mets fans who prefer air conditioning and easy access to the kitchen, MLB Network will carry the Baseball Hall of Fame inductions of Mike Piazza and Ken Griffey Jr..

The coverage team includes Piazza’s former Mets teammate Al Leiter as well as former Newsday paper boy Brian Kenny.

The induction ceremony itself is set to begin at 1:30 p.m., following a pre-fame show at noon.

To whet fans’ appetites, SNY is offering a Piazza-themed marathon called “Piazza’s Road to the Hall of Fame” that premiered Thursday night and will repeat at 2:30 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday.

The 2 1/2-hour show includes Piazza’s Mets debut on May 23, 1998, his game-winning home run against the Braves on Sept. 21, 2001, and a “Mets Hall of Fame” episode looking back at Piazza’s life and career.
