No day off for Wright, Thole behind plate

With the Mets' offense stagnant -- to put it mildly -- manager Jerry Manuel couldn't afford to give David Wright a breather against Dodgers' lefthander Clayton Kershaw. In fact, it looks like Wright's only break will be Monday's off day.

In other pregame news, Rod Barajas (right oblique strain) will get checked out tomorrow in New York. If he is placed on the DL - I'd say there's a decent chance of that -- Manuel said the Mets are likely to call up an infielder. Buffalo slugger Mike Hessman, perhaps?

 Here's today's lineup:

Jose Reyes - SS
Luis Castillo - 2B
David Wright - 3B
Carlos Beltran - CF
Jason Bay - LF
Ike Davis - 1B
Jeff Francoeur - RF
Josh Thole - C
R.A. Dickey - RHP
