Omar Minaya

Omar Minaya, a native of Elmhurst, Queens, began his Mets management career in the mid-1990s. He became the team's assistant general manager before leaving to become GM of the Montreal Expos in 2002. In 2004, he was hired as the Mets' general manager. Minaya was relieved of his duties as general manager at the end of the 2010 season.
