Pelfrey not getting it done against the NL East

It might be an understatement to say Mike Pelfrey has had a rough start to the 2011 season. Last night against the Colorado Rockies, he had his best start of the year going 5 1/3 innings with six hits, three earned runs, four walks and three strikeouts. Hardly ace-worthy numbers for “Big Pelf” and the Mets who will be without Johan Santana until the summer.

If Met fans think his 2011 numbers have been bad then they better not look at his career numbers against NL East rivals. The Mets play each of these teams 19 times a year and their ace, for the time being, is horrendous against the Phillies, Marlins and Braves.

TEAM GAMES W-L ERA IP K / BB WHIP BAA
