Post-game with Manuel

Jerry Manuel:

- On the errors: "We got ground balls when we needed to, and didn't execute."

- Did Misch pitch well enough to earn another start?: "I thought he did. I thought he pitched well today, gave us a chance."

- On the second consecutive day that the Mets failed to get runner in from third with nobody out: "We gotta do a better job executing situational hitting." He later called the Mets situational hitting "poor."

- Manuel plans to start Luis Castillo at second base tomorrow. He said he has no plans right now to totally unseat Tejada or start a platoon between the two, it's just about going with what he thinks is best to win the game.

- K-Rod on the fans reception: “Well, that’s something that I cannot control. Since it’s kept out of my hands the only thing I had to do out there is go do my job.” He said he wasn't curious about the reception prior to exiting the bullpen.

That's it for me tonight guys and gals, I'll be back tomorrow (game time 8 p.m. - ESPN) for the final of this three-game set.
