Tommy Lasorda, former Dodgers manager and a legendary baseball figure, suffered a heart attack and in a New York City hospital, TMZ is reporting.
UPDATE (5:55 p.m.): Tommy Lasorda is stable and resting comfortably.
Lasorda, 84, was in town representing the Dodgers for the MLB draft. He rang the opening bell at NASDAQ on Monday, according to his Twitter account.
"At the @Nasdaq exchange to ring the opening bell to kick off the @MLBDraft. Here's my stock tip: the market is bullish on @ClaytonKersh22" Lasorda tweeted.
