Obviously R.A. Dickey's 20th win of the season deserves all the headlines, but this grab by Pirates outfielder Travis Snider in the second inning of Thursday's game between the Mets and Pirates is one of the greatest catches of the year.
On an 0-2 count with the Mets down 2-1, Pirates starting pitcher Kevin Correia threw a meatball right down the middle of the plate that Mike Baxter didn't miss. Correia nearly gave himself whiplash turning to watch the ball go, and he appeared to mouth a few choice words.
Little did he know Spiderman was playing right field.
Snider climbed the wall, reached his glove hand out with full extension and reeled in a snowcone catch.
