Another night, another ace

The Yankees ran into Seattle's other ace on Wednesday night, Felix Hernandez, who was dominant in a 7-0 win.

Meanwhile, Anthony Rieber writes that the Yankees should have used the model for King Felix when dealing with young pitchers Phil Hughes and Joba Chamberlain. Hernandez is 24 years old -- the same age as Hughes and Chamberlain -- but the Mariners have not tried to reinvent the game by putting limits on how many innings Hernandez can throw.

Kimberley Martin writes that confidence has helped Colin Curtis contribute off the bench to the Yankees' success.

Pitching coach Dave Eiland, who returned on Tuesday from a one-month personal leave of absence, has started to work with A.J. Burnett on his mechanics. Burnett has a 11.35 ERA in his last five starts.
