According to Jon Heyman, the "Phillies are in agreement on a three-team trade with the Mariners and Blue Jays to acquire star pitcher Roy Halladay," ending what had been the offseason's most intriguing story.

As part of the deal, Cliff Lee reportedly will go to Seattle to join King Felix, though that part of the deal has not yet been confirmed and Lee's agent, according to the Times' Tyler Kepner, has not been informed of a trade.

UPDATE: Lee, indeed, is a part of the trade, headed to the Mariners, who have had an outstanding offseason to say the least.

*** It's been a busy start to the week after the winter meetings as the Red Sox landed John Lackey, and Hideki Matsui's seven-year career in pinstripes seems close to coming to an end.

UPDATE: A source confirmed that Matsui has agreed to a one-year deal with the Angels.

*** MLB also announced today that the Yankees' opener, originally scheduled for April 5 in Boston, will be the Sunday night season "kick off" game April 4 on ESPN.
