Derek Jeter, speaking after a workout Wednesday in Tampa, said he likes the look of the 2010 Yankees. And, really, there's no reason he shouldn't.
"As long as we stay healthy, I like the team that we have," Jeter said, according to the Associated Press.
Jeter said he took four weeks off after the season ended before starting his offseason workout routine. It didn't take him long to start looking ahead rather than back.
"You celebrate for a short amount of time and then it's back to preparing for the next season," Jeter said. "Last year was a wonderful year, but last year is over with."
Jeter said he would address his contract situation, he's entering the final year of a 10-year, $189 million contract, next week after the full New York media contingent, or most of it at least, arrives in Tampa.
