Hideki Matsui’s homer off Boone Logan was the first run allowed by a Yankees reliever since July 16, snapping a scoreless streak of 161 / 3 innings. Logan wasn’t surprised by the cheers for Matsui. “I know the fans love him here and he’s done a lot for this organization,” he said. “At least they weren’t booing me.”

Rafael Soriano is set to pitch today for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

David Robertson has struck out the last nine batters he’s faced with the bases loaded.
