Just because the MLB postseason is winding down doesn't mean baseball will be taking a pause. .

Every club sends several of its top minor leaguers to compete in the Arizona Fall League. The Caribbean Winter Leagues also have begun, with teams from Venezuela and Mexico kicking off their seasons. Squads from the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico haven't started play yet.

The Mets and Yankees have 25 players on Venezuelan and Mexican team rosters:

METS

Brandon Allen, 1B - Caribes de Anzoategui (VEN)

Allen, 28, is a .203 hitter with 12 home runs in 116 major league games with the Diamondbacks, Athletics and Rays. Allen hit .266 with a .368 on-base percentage and 13 home runs in 98 games for Triple-A Las Vegas in 2014.

Brian Burgamy, 3B - Caneros de los Mochis (MEX)

Burgamy, 33, has played all over the diamond during 13 minor-league seasons with the Padres, Phillies, Mets and a few independent organizations. He hit .276 with a .376 OBP and 23 home runs for Double-A Binghamton in 2014, spending time at first, second and third base. Burgamy was named to the Eastern League year-end All-Star team.

Oswald Caraballo, OF - Navegantes del Magallanes (VEN)

Caraballo, 21, spent most of his time as rookie-level Kingsport's leftfielder in 2014. He hit .289 with a .317 OBP and four home runs.

Xorge Carillo, C - Aguilas de Mexicali (MEX)

Carillo, 25, spent the majority of 2014 with Binghamton, batting .283 with a .350 OBP and two home runs. He helped lead Binghamton to an Eastern League championship and was named playoffs MVP, batting .250 with two doubles, a home run and four RBIs in eight games.

Leon Canelon, 2B - Cardenales de Lara (VEN)

Canelon, 23, batted .178 with a .259 OBP in 42 games at second base, third base and shortstop for Kingsport.

Albert Cordero, C - Leones del Caracas (VEN)

Cordero, 24, hi .196 with a .251 OBP and four home runs in 51 games with Single-A Advanced St. Lucie in 2014.

Vicente Lupo, OF - Cardenales de Lara (VEN)

Lupo, 20, hit .278 with a .415 OBP and seven home runs with Kingsport. He played leftfield for 27 of his 44 games, serving as designated hitter in the others.

Jairo Perez, 3B - Cardenales de Lara (VEN)

Perez, 26, is a .307 hitter with a .373 OBP in seven minor-league seasons with the Twins and Mets. He hit .364 with 10 home runs in 2014, playing all but four of his 69 games with St. Lucie.

Ryan Reid, RHP - Tiburones de la Guaira (VEN)

Reid, 29, has a 3.99 ERA in 356 minor-league games (20 starts) for the Rays, Pirates and Mets. He had a 4.91 ERA and 1.73 WHIP in 69.2 innings (48 games) with Las Vegas in 2014. Reid had a 1.64 ERA in 11 major-league innings with Pittsburgh in 2013.

Miguel Socolovich, RHP - Leones del Caracas (VEN)

Socolovich, 28, pitched in 12 games with the Orioles and Cubs in 2012. He spent all of 2014 with Las Vegas, posting a 3.64 ERA and 1.46 WHIP in 59.1 innings (51 games).

Wilfredo Tovar, SS - Bravos de Margarita (VEN)

Tovar, 23, batted .288 with a .360 OBP and two home runs in 2014, playing mostly for Binghamton. He's played in nine games at the MLB level since 2013.

Cory Vaughn, OF - Charros de Jalisco (MEX)

Vaughn, 25, spent the majority of his time in right field while splitting time with Binghamton and Las Vegas in 2014. Vaughn batted .210 with a .305 OBP and 10 home runs overall. He has a career .250 average and .351 OBP.

YANKEES

Angel Aguilar, SS - Navegantes del Magallanes (VEN)

Aguilar, 19, hit .311 with a .373 OBP and seven home runs for the Gulf Coast League Yankees in 2014.

Francisco Arcia, C - Aguilas de Zulia (VEN)

Arcia, 25, split 2014 between Double-A Trenton and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He hit .276 with a .311 OBP and one home run.

Ali Castillo, SS - Aguilas de Zulia (VEN)

Castillo, 25, batted .254 with a .318 OBP and two home runs in 120 games with Trenton in 2014. He's a career .271 hitter with a .343 OBP but has struggled to find success since earning a promotion to Single-A Advanced Tampa in 2012.

Francisco Cervelli, C - Navegantes del Magallanes (VEN)

Cervelli, 28, is a career .278 hitter with a .348 OBP in 250 games with the Yankees since 2008. He hit .301 with a .370 OBP and two home runs in 49 games in 2014.

Jose Figueroa, RF - Yaquis de Obregon (MEX)

Figueroa, 21, hit .290 with a .353 OBP and three home runs in the Gulf Coast League.

Ramon Flores, OF - Tigres de Aragua (VEN)

Flores, 22, hit .247 with a .339 OBP and seven home runs in 63 games for Scranton/Wilkes-Barres in 2014. He's a .271 hitter with a .358 OBP in six minor-league seasons.

Giovanny Gallegos, RHP - Yaquis de Obregon (MEX)

Gallegos, 23, had a 4.57 ERA and 1.43 WHIP in 29 games (six starts) for Charleston in 2014.

Adonis Garcia, OF - Navegantes del Magallanes (VEN)

Garcia, 29, hit .319 with a .353 OBP and nine home runs for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in 2014, his third season with the Yankees. He's capable of playing all three outfield spots but has spent most of his time in center and right.

Jose Gil, C - Caribes de Anzoategui (VEN)

Gil, 28, hit .273 in nine games with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in 2014. In 10 minor-league seasons with the Orioles and Yankees, Gil is a .237 hitter with a .304 OBP.

Ericson Leonora, OF - Cardenales de Lara (VEN)

Leonora, 22, served primarily as a leftfielder for the GCL Yankees and Tampa in 2014. He hit .272 with a .323 OBP and six home runs.

Mark Montgomery, RHP - Navegantes del Magallanes (VEN)

Montgomery, 24, had a 2.10 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 8.9 strikeouts per nine innings in 39 games with Trenton and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in 2014. But he's struggled with his control, posting a career rate of 4.1 walks per nine innings.

Diego Moreno, RHP - Aguilas de Zulia (VEN)

Moreno, 27, has a 2.93 ERA in 178 minor-league games (seven starts) for the Pirates and Yankees. He had a 4.06 ERA and 1.45 WHIP in 38 games (one start) at Trenton and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in 2014.

Jackson Valera, C - Navegantes del Magallanes (VEN)

Valera, 22, hit .261 with a .299 OBP and no home runs for Charleston in 2014.
