Rangers lower price of parking from $15 to $10

ARLINGTON, Texas – Still angry about paying $40 to park at Yankee Stadium for the playoffs? Here’s a solution: move to Texas and become a Rangers fan.

After charging fans $15 to park for the American League Championship Series, the Rangers have announced that fans who kept their receipts from Game 1 can bring them to Rangers Ballpark beginning Monday morning to receive a $5 rebate.

The team added that parking will cost $10 for the remaining ALCS games.

“The Rangers apologize for any inconvenience this parking pricing may have caused our fans,” Rangers executive vice president Rob Matwick said in a statement. “We are pleased to be offer regular season cash parking prices for all remaining home games in the 2010 ALCS.”

Parking at Yankee Stadium during the regular season cost $23 and was increased to $40 for postseason games. A Yankees spokesman has said the team does not set the price of parking.
