In the short term, the Yankees have call-ups ready to fill the roster spots left open by the injuries to Bartolo Colon and reliever Amauri Sanit, who was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday after a minor-league disabled list stint.

Sanit is back on the DL with a groin injury and RHP Hector Noesi will be up today. Noesi, 24, had four appearances in long relief this season before being sent down Wednesday to make room for Sanit.

If, as expected, Colon goes on the DL for his strained left hamstring, the Yankees plan to recall OF Chris Dickerson, who was sent down Friday to make room for RHP Kevin Whelan.

That’s at least until Colon’s next scheduled start, Thursday against the Rangers. For that, the Yankees have a few options in Triple-A.

David Phelps (4-4, 2.95 ERA), Adam Warren (4-2, 3.53) and D.J. Mitchell (4-4, 2.95) are all possibilities. Mitchell started last night for Scranton in Syracuse. All three are righthanders and all are Yankees draft picks out of college.
