To no one's surprise, there has been very little talk about the Rangers having an edge tonight at home. Home field has just not meant much in the American League postseason. The Yankees are 2-2 at the Stadium, the Rangers are 1-3 at the Ballpark at Arlington.
" I don't know. Maybe they get better sleep on the road," Rangers Game 4 starter Tommy Hunter said earlier this week. "Maybe we get better sleep on the road. Some guys don't travel with the kids maybe. I don't know. Sorry."
I don't know, either. Nothing pops out to make a logical case for it. It does seem to indicate another advantage for the Yankees tonight. On the YES pregame show, they came up with stats that said Colby Lewis has an ERA in the 6.00 range when he faces a team a second time.
Honestly, I don't think I have heard anyone say they think Texas will win this game. I don't know if that is an advantage for the Rangers or not.
