The Empire strikes back

The Yanks now lead 4-3.

And the best news of all for their fans: Francisco Liriano is out of the game.

The Yankees’ bats came alive in the the sixth, as Mark Teixeira doubled to left with one out, then moved to third on a wild pitch from Liriano. The Twins pitcher eventually walked A-Rod to put runners at the corner for the next batter, Robinson Cano. The second baseman drove in the first run for the Yanks, ripping a base hit to right field to score Teixiera.

Posada, who is 2-for-3, then drove in A-Bomb with a single that glanced over the outstretched glove of Twins second baseman Orlando Hudson and Curtis Granderson hit a two-run triple high off the centerfield wall.

Interesting factoid: The Yanks have 48 come-from-behind victories this season. ...and the Twins have no comeback wins in previous 20 postseason games.
