Entering the 2017 season, the Yankees appeared to be in the midst of a rebuild — as much as that’s possible with the Bronx Bombers. But when the Yanks still were in first place at the nonwaiver trade deadline, the tables turned.

Now, in the closing stretch of the season, they’re fighting to get back atop the division while holding on to the top wild-card spot. Here’s a look at some important numbers as the Yankees try to make the playoffs.
