A look at this weekend's pitching matchups as the Yankees head to Fenway Park to face the Boston Red Sox for the first time this season.
 

Friday, YES, 2:05 p.m.Phil Hughes (2-3, 4.97 ERA lifetime vs. Red Sox) vs. John Lackey (6-8, 4.43 vs. Yankees)

Quick pitch: David Ortiz is batting .417 (5-for-12) against Hughes with one home run . . . Jorge Posada has been the most successful Yankee against Lackey, going 13-for-36 (.361).

Saturday, Ch. 5, 1:10 p.m.: Ivan Nova (0-2, 6.43) vs. Clay Buchholz (1-2, 5.79)

Quick pitch: Mark Teixeira has homered twice in nine official ABs against Buchholz  . . .  Robinson Cano is 7-for-15 (.467) against the righthander.

Sunday, ESPN, 8:05 p.m.: CC Sabathia (6-5, 3.45) vs. Josh Beckett (10-7, 6.26)

Quick pitch: Mike Cameron (7-for-14) is a .500 hitter against Sabathia; Dustin Pedroia is batting .045 (1-for-22) against the lefty  . . .  Alex Rodriguez, Nick Swisher and Robinson Cano each have three career HRs off Beckett.
