Zoilo Almonte has homered three times in one game -- and it only took him two days to do it.

Almonte, the Yankees outfield prospect playing with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, homered twice on Wednesday night before the game against Gwinnett was suspended in the fifth inning.

In his first at-bat Thursday, in the fifth inning of the resumed game, Almonte homered again. He singled in the seventh and struck out in the ninth. The first two home runs came off former Yankees minor-leaguer Kanekoa Texeira and the third blast was against Braves reliever Carlos Fisher.

Almonte, 25, entered the game hitting .279 with a .324 on-base percentage and 13 home runs this season at Triple-A. He's played each of the outfield spots, but has primarily manned leftfield and rightfield.

In 44 major-league games during the last two seasons he's hit .221 with two home runs.
