If NBA2K wants Charles Barkley in its life, they need to show them the money. No, not him, them.

Barkley on Tuesday spilled the beans on why he hasn’t granted the video game rights to his likeness, and it’s because they refused his request to pay up. But not to him: He wants 2K Sports to donate to the retired players’ union in an effort to help former athletes who don’t have the money or fame of a Charles Barkley or a Shaquille O’Neal.

“One million a year, every year,” said Barkley when asked for his price. He said he wouldn’t want to see a cent of it, but he’d like it to go to former players dealing with health problems and financial hardship.
