According to reports, Chauncey Billups and Danilo Gallinari, key players for a pair of contenders in the Western Conference, suffered major injuries Monday night.

Hoopsworld Publisher Steve Kyler reported on Twitter that Billups, who was helped off the court during the Clippers' win over the Magic, likely tore his Achilles. Kyler tweeted that "more than a couple of Clippers players commented" that Billups tore his Achilles. If that is in fact the injury, Billups would be lost for the season.

Gallinari, meanwhile, left the Nuggets-Rockets game early with what appeared to be an ankle injury. According to Denver Post writer Benjamin Hochman, Gallinari suffered a left ankle sprain, and an X-ray revealed a "chip fracture" of his foot. The injury would be a huge blow for the Nuggets, as Gallinari has emerged as the team's go-to scorer.
