An X-ray Monday night had revealed a fracture in Gallinari's foot, but doctors determined the injury had occurred before Gallinari's playing career.
Gallinari, who will wear a walking boot for 3-5 days, told the Denver Post that he could be back sooner than a month, "but with these kind of things, you want to take your time and have it heal in the right way."
The fourth-year forward has emerged as the Nuggets' go-to scorer, averaging 17.2 points per game. He scored over 30 points twice this year, and is shooting 44.7 percent from the field and 31.8 percent from three.
Denver has struggled lately, dropping their last three games to fall to 15-10 on the season. They are currently first in the league in points per game (104.0), but 25th in points allowed per game (99.3)
