Derrick Rose, Blake Griffin and Kevin Durant will grace the cover of NBA 2K13, 2K Sports announced Tuesday.
The 2K Sports series returns to active NBA players after using legends on the cover the previous two years; Michael Jordan was on the cover for NBA 2K11, and Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Jordan were on separate covers for NBA 2K12.
Unlike last season, Rose, Durant and Griffin will all appear on the same cover.
Rose averaged 21.8 points in 39 games during an injury-plagued 2011-12 season. He tore his left ACL in the first game of the postseason, and could miss most of, if not the entire, 2012-13 season.
Griffin appeared in all 66 regular season games for the Clippers, averaging 20.7 points and 10.9 rebounds. His numbers dipped in 11 playoff games, the sophomore averaging 19.1 points and 6.9 rebounds.
Durant, who led the league with 28.0 points per game, led the Thunder to the NBA Finals. In 20 postseason games, the fifth-year pro averaged 28.5 points on 51.7 percent from the floot.
NBA 2K13 will be released in the first week of October. Last year's XBox 360 version of the game was rated a 9.5/10 by IGN.
