Knicks' Chandler has surgery to remove bone spurs

Knicks forward Wilson Chandler underwent surgery to remove bone spurs in his left ankle on Wednesday.

Chandler, 22, who just completed his second season, started experiencing pain in the ankle toward the end of the season and after a brief stint of rehabilitation, surgery was required to clear the issue.

The recovery period is expected to be four to eight weeks, which means Chandler will still have at least August and September to prepare for training camp, which opens in October in Saratoga.
