Carmelo Anthony is focused on basketball and winning more than ever in his career.

The Knicks’ All-Star small forward said playing on the Olympic team prepared him in so many ways for this season.

“I think just me being in shape and just real sharp and on my game right now, it stems from me playing this summer and stems from us winning this summer and just me knowing what I want, I want to win,” Anthony said. “My mental focus right now is at 100 percent. I haven’t been this focused in a long time as far as just really able to just focus in on basketball and nothing else.”

Anthony is trying to be a complete player. He’s not only leading the Knicks in scoring at 26.0 points per game, but he’s pulling down a team-best 7.3 rebounds.

“That’s what I’ve been trying to do for this team,” Anthony said. “Pass the ball, rebound, defend, just be the leader that I’m supposed to be.”
