MSG analyst Walt Frazier is pacing himself in the wardrobe department. It could be a long series, after all.
He broke out a simple beige suit for Game 1 Sunday at TD Garden, but he said if the weather is good Friday he plans to unveil some "provocative colors" for Game 3 at Madison Square Garden.
Frazier said TD Garden is nowhere near as intimidating as the original Garden. As the Knicks warmed up on the court he told tales of the infamous Celtics shenanigans at the old place, including making sure the visiting locker room was too small and always either too cold or too hot.
Frazier said the Knicks' locker room was particularly tiny for Game 7 of the 1973 Eastern Conference finals, in which the Knicks won handily en route to beating the Lakers for their second NBA title. He said the tallest players had to duck to enter.
