The Knicks will be without starting shooting guard Iman Shumpert for at least three weeks after an MRI confirmed he has a dislocated left shoulder.

Shumpert will be re-evaluated in three weeks, the Knicks said.

Backup shooting guard J.R. Smith's status is not as clear after an MRI of his left foot revealed a small partial tear of the plantar fascia.

The Knicks are listing Smith as questionable for Sunday night's game against Toronto and say he will remain day-to-day after that.

Shumpert suffered the injury in Friday night's victory over the Celtics in Boston. He is averaging 9.3 points per game this season.

Derek Fisher could start Tim Hardaway Jr. at shooting guard or play two point guards, which has been a successful formula for the Knicks in recent seasons.

Smith has missed two games with the foot issue. He's averaging 10.3 points per game.
