Interim coach Kurt Rambis said the Knicks didn’t make a deal because they “didn’t feel there was anything financially or player wise “that was going to help them.

“What was available or offered to us, whatever we explored, nothing felt like it was going to benefit our team right now,” Rambis said.

Fast breaks

Rambis won’t make any changes to the starting lineup “for now.” But he said he “always” considers rotation changes . . . Cleanthony Early, who was shot in the knee while being robbed Dec. 30, has been running. He’s still not jumping and hasn’t been cleared for contact. But Rambis said he thinks Early will return this season.
