North Babylon's Danny Green was the breakout star of the NBA Finals. But his record 27 three-pointers became a footnote after the Spurs couldn't close out Miami in Game 6 and ultimately lost the series in Game 7.
It was a devastating defeat for Green and the Spurs, who visit the Garden Sunday. In the last two games, Green shot 2-for-19 overall and 2-for-11 from three. He was 1-of-12 in Game 7.
Green, who traveled a lot after the Finals with the NBA and on his own, couldn't wait for this season to start so he could put how the series ended behind him
"Everywhere I went, people wanted to ask me about Games 6 and 7," Green told the San Antonio Express-News. "I don't think I won't hear it until we do something different this year."
Green is off to a rough start. He worked on a pull-up jumper to use when teams run him off the three-point line. Thus far, he's averaging 6.0 points and shooting 37.5 percent.
