I used to visit the old Boston Garden for the ECAC hockey tournament, but this morning was my first visit to the TD Garden.
Was surprised to discover that the entire place is done up in Bruins black and gold, including all of the seats.
Turns out the Bruins' parent company owns the joint and the mighty Celtics are mere tenants.
Weird. I suppose it beats the numbing gray indifference of New Meadowlands Stadium.
Also, the place was freezing during the Knicks' shootaround, what with the ice hidden under the parquet floor.
I asked Amar'e Stoudemire about that. He said he was confident things would warm up nicely once the place was filled with Celtics fans.
