Madison Square Garden announced on Thursday a marketing partnership with the daily fantasy sports site DraftKings that include having its logo displayed on the home and away uniforms of the Liberty.
The Liberty will debut its new DraftKings uniforms when it hosts the Atlanta Dream in its 2015 WNBA opener at the Garden Friday night.
DraftKings and FanDuel, the leading daily fantasy sites, have concluded sponsorship and marketing deals with a variety of pro sports leagues and teams in recent months. The NBA itself signed a partnership with FanDuel in November that gave it an equity stake in the company.
In addition to the Liberty uniforms, the Garden's deal calls for DraftKings to get significant brand exposure through signage at the Garden for Knicks, Rangers and Liberty games as well as a presence on MSG Network game telecasts.The Dolan family owns controlling interests in
Madison Square Garden, the Liberty and Cablevision. Cablevision owns Newsday.
