Tina Charles had 23 points, nine rebounds and 10 assists for the visiting Liberty, who beat the Atlanta Dream, 90-79, in double overtime on Wednesday for their fifth straight victory.

Charles scored five quick points in the second overtime as the Liberty opened with a 9-0 run and outscored the Dream 14-3.

Shavonte Zellous added 14 points as six players scored in double figures for the Liberty (9-4). Swin Cash had a season-high 13 points — 11 in the first half — for the Liberty.

Turnovers on consecutive Liberty possessions led to two layups by Angel McCoughtry to pull Atlanta to 68-65 with 2:35 left in regulation. Meighan Simmons made Atlanta’s first three-pointer with 1:09 left to tie it at 70. Charles missed a three-pointer before the buzzer.

In the first overtime, Atlanta’s Tiffany Hayes intercepted a cross-court pass by Charles and made a fast-break layup with 5.8 seconds left to tie it at 76. Charles missed a long jumper to send it to another OT.

McCoughtry finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds for fourth-ranked Atlanta (8-5). Hayes had 17 points and three blocks and Elizabeth Williams added 16 points. Sancho Lyttle added 11 points, 11 rebounds and a career-high eight steals.
