Amityville native Mike James signed a 10-day contract with the Chicago Bulls as first reported by the Chicago Tribune.
James, who has played for 10 different teams over his 10-year career, appeared in seven games for Chicago earlier this season, averaging 6.1 points and 3.6 assists in 12.3 minutes per game.
The Bulls could use the depth at point guard with C.J. Watson battling a sprained ankle, and Derrick Rose dealing with lingering injury issues.
According to the Tribune, it's possible that James could sign a veteran's minimum contract once this 10-day deal expires.
Chicago is 35-9 this year, the best record in the NBA.
