N. Babylon's Hartley leads UConn

North Babylon's Bria Hartley scored a career-high 24 points and No. 2 Connecticut won its 71st consecutive home game, beating Louisville, 78-55, in women's basketball Saturday.

Freshman Hartley hit 10 of 16 shots and had eight points during a 12-2 second-half run that broke open a close game. She also had eight rebounds. Maya Moore led the Huskies (16-1, 6-0 Big East) with 26 points. Shoni Schimmel had 15 points and six assists for the Cardinals (12-7, 3-2).

Connecticut played all but the first 46 seconds without guard Tiffany Hayes. The Huskies' second-leading scorer left the game with a concussion after she collided with teammate Moore while going for a loose ball.

Baylor 70, Oklahoma State 39: Brittney Griner had 18 points and nine rebounds as host No. 1 Baylor (16-1, 3-0 Big 12) extended its winning streak to 13 in a row. Oklahoma State is 12-4, 0-3.

Tennessee 68, Vanderbilt 56:Meighan Simmons scored 17 points for host No. 5 Tennessee (17-2, 5-0 SEC). The Lady Volunteers went on an 18-0 run in the first half. Vanderbilt is 12-6, 3-2.

West Virginia 70, Syracuse 61:Senior Madina Ali scored a career-high 32 points as No. 6 West Virginia bounced back from its first loss. The Mountaineers (17-1, 4-1 Big East) improved their school-record home winning streak to 29. No. 25 Syracuse is 13-4, 1-3.

Texas A&M 85, Missouri 40:Danielle Adams had 19 points to lead No. 7 Texas A&M. Tyra White added 16 points for the Aggies (15-1, 3-0 Big 12). Missouri is (9-8, 1-2). UCLA 87, Oregon 57: Markel Walker (14 points) led five players in double figures as the host No. 10 Bruins (15-1, 5-0 Pac-10) won their fifth in a row. Oregon is 11-5, 2-3.

Notre Dame 82, Pittsburgh 50:Skylar Diggins scored 20 points for the No. 12 Fighting Irish (15-4, 4-1 Big East). Host Pittsburgh is 9-8, 1-3.

Georgetown 49, Providence 45:Senior Monica McNutt had 17 points and a career-high 11 rebounds for No. 18 Georgetown (14-4, 2-2 Big East). Host Providence is 8-8, 1-3.- AP
