NBA All-Star weekend schedule in New York City and Brooklyn

Madison Square Garden last hosted the NBA All-Star

Madison Square Garden last hosted the NBA All-Star Game in 1998, when Michael Jordan was MVP and Kobe Bryant was making his All-Star debut.

The event returns Feb. 15, with a twist: All-Star Saturday Night, including the dunk contest, will be held at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

This would have been cooler: Having LeBron James and friends play the first half of the All-Star Game in Brooklyn, then hop on the No. 2 train and travel to Manhattan for the second half. Credit: NBA
