NBA commissioner Adam Silver told reporters in London for Thursday's Knicks-Bucks game that he has gotten the same message from Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov as has the news media regarding the potential sale of the team.

"In terms of Prokhorov, he's told us same as what his spokesperson has said publicly, that there's nothing imminent," Silver said. "He hasn't determined that he's absolutely going to sell, but he's listening to offers, and that's an ongoing process right now."

Bloomberg reported Tuesday that Prokhorov is shopping his 80-percent stake in the team, a sale that likely would result in a huge payday in the wake of the sale of the Clippers to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer last year for $2 billion.
