The Nets announced Tuesday that the injured Deron Williams won't play against the Celtics on Wednesday, marking the second straight game he's missed with a sore left side.

Williams got banged up twice in the Nets' loss in Miami Sunday night, first injuring his left oblique in the first half before his left side locked up late in the fourth quarter due to what he said were diagnosed as a cramp. He missed Monday's overtime loss to the Mavericks.

The Nets also announced they have waived forward Brandon Davies, who was acquired from the 76ers last month as part of the Andrei Kirilenko trade.
