Here are three players the Nets could target when NBA free agency opens on Saturday, July 1, 2017.
J.J. Redick, SG
He's 33, going into his 12th season and said to want two years for $36-40 million. But the savvy vet is a career 41.5 percent three-point shooter, 88.8 percent foul shooter and averaged 15.0 points last season.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, SG
The four-year vet shot a career-best 35.0 from three-point range and is a solid 6-5 defender. The Nets prefer Otto Porter Jr. of the Wizards, but Washington is likely to match any offer for him, so the Nets are more likely to be able to sign Caldwell-Pope.
Ersan Ilyasova, PF
The nine-year NBA vet is a career 36.6 shooter from three-point range and averages 5.9 rebounds and 11.0 points. At 30, he could be the seasoned stretch big man who would make sense in Nets' motion offense.
