Despite Ricky Rubio's absence and just three wins in the last 10 games, the Timberwolves still have plenty of believers.

Last week, we asked Newsday.com readers "Which Western Conference team is most likely to make the playoffs?"

The results:

Houston Rockets - 7%
Phoenix Suns - 15%
Utah Jazz - 26%
Minnesota Timberwolves - 52%

The playoff picture in the West has somehow become more muddled since last Tuesday when we posed the question. As of this morning, just five games separate the four seed and 12 seed in the West:

4. Clippers 28-21....... --
5. Mavericks 28-22.... 1/2
6. Grizzlies 26-21....... 1
7. Jazz 27-23.............. 1 1/2
8. Rockets 27-23....... 1 1/2
9. Nuggets 27-23...... 1 1/2
10. Suns 25-24.......... 3
11. Wolves 24-26...... 4 1/2
12. Blazers 23-26...... 5

Utah is hottest of the nine teams, winners of eight of their last 10 games. The Suns are 7-3 in their last 10.

This week, we turn our attention to the slumping Philadelphia 76ers. Since a 20-9 start, Philly is just 7-13. The Atlantic Division, an afterthought just a couple weeks ago, is now anybody's to win, with the Celtics tied with Philly, and the Knicks just 2 1/2 games back. So how will Philly's season end? With a championship? Outside of the playoffs? Somewhere in between? Vote below or by clicking here.
