According to Celtics general manager Danny Ainge, Rajon Rondo will still be wearing Celtics green on March 16.
Ainge told Comcast SportsNet " don't know how many times I have to say it. Rondo's not being traded," prior to Boston's Monday night game against the Clippers.
Rondo, the youngest member of Boston's core, has reportedly been on the block for much of the season. His name first popped up when the Chris Paul sweepstakes hit high gear in the preseason, and then again was floated around the past couple of weeks.
While he's been a dynamo on the court, there have been reports suggesting Rondo isn't a good fit in the Celtics locker room. The team has refuted the reports.
Rondo was averaging 13.9 points and 10.0 assists per game entering Monday night's game. The Celtics were 21-19 entering the game, seventh in the East.
