Golden Boy adds Kid Chocolate to its stable

Golden Boy continuted to add to its impressive list of fighters with the signing of Peter "Kid Chocolate" Quillin.

The 27-year-old middleweight prospect (21-0, 15 KOs) made a name for himself locally after an incredible display of power.

"It's been a long road to get here, but now that I'm with Golden Boy Promotions and I can't wait for the future," said Quillin. "I'm healthy, focused and ready to get back in the ring as soon as possible. I know Golden Boy expects a lot out of me and I'm looking forward to following in Bernard Hopkins' footsteps as the company's next middleweight champion."

Quillin, who was sidelined for over a year due to a rash of nagging injuries said he is healthy and ready to continue his rise up the middleweight ladder. Quillin, a native of Grand Rapids Michigan who relocated to New York City, is now in Los Angeles training with Freddie Roach.
