THE BRONX - In an exclusive interview with News 12, the son of slain boxer Hector 'Macho' Camacho remembers his father as an inspration in and out of the ring.

Christian Camacho, 20, says he was with his younger brother in Bryant Park when he got the phone call saying their father had been shot in Puerto Rico. Three days later, his family took the former boxing champion off of life support and he died shortly after.

Camacho, an aspiring boxer himself, says his father will always inspire him.

"I still want to put a smile on his face," Camacho said.
