Alabama loses three to NFL Draft

Alabama junior running back Mark Ingram, junior wide receiver Julio Jones and junior defensive lineman Marcel Dareus all announced on Friday that they would be entering the 2011 NFL Draft.

The Crimson Tide will keep redshirt sophomore lineback Donta Hightower, who decided to return to Alabama for the 2011 season.

Ingram became Alabama's first Heisman Trophy winner in 2009. Jones leaves Alabama with 179 receptions and 2,653 yards for his career. Dareus could play either end or even tackle in the NFL. He will be remembered for his performance in the 2009 BCS National Championship when he was named defensive MVP in the win over Texas.

Wisconsin also lost a pair of stars to the NFL draft on Friday. Junior running back John Clay and junior defensive lineman J.J Watt will both head to the pros.

Clay finishes his Wisconsin career with 3,413 yards and 41 touchdowns. Watt was a second-team All-American and was selected to the All-Big Ten first team this season.
